We learn in the class that the process of converting a program in a high level language like C or Java to a low level sequence of instructions that a "computer" can understand is called COMPILATION. This activity is done by a program called a COMPILER. Since a COMPILER is also a program .. it means that at some point of time, it existed as a high level language .. and was converted into a low level langugage through an earlier version of a COMPILER.
Question is HOW was the FIRST COMPILER, COMPILED ?
